hi everyone, I have two issues regarding railing I can't solve: ( I am using revit 6.1) 1) I have a building with different kind of railing, which I made gray ( in hidden mode view) because they are too dense and black. whether I make them gray by making them" phase 1" or by changing their visibility settings, it works fine. BUT WHEN I LINK THIS MODEL TO SOME OTHER FILE (TOPOGRAPHY ETC) THE RAILING BECOME BLACK AGAIN.!!? and when I do "transfer setting" to the new file, they remain black. so how can I define the railing in the linked file to be tranfrred to my main file as grey? 2) the other question refer to the glazed railing in hidden mode - why when I print out the view' the railing is not tranparent? is there any option to make it look transparent? I am really desparate and I tried all Sad( big thanks!!!.s.o.s!!! nika

Phasing overrides do not get copied over when linking files... You would have to have all your railings be grey in the main file or create the railing in the main file in order to use the overrides. This glass effect annoys me also sometimes... Revit will not allow you to show items behind glass in a hidden line view or shaded view in elevations or section... Perspective and 3D views are the only views where the glass transparency can be adjusted...
