Hello, A formula using a familytype parameter is not possible. Any workaround for this? I have a window family of which I'd like to calculate the total glass area. The window can be up to 7 parts wide. Problem is that users can also choose a nested family which represents a panel, so when this choice is made, the "glass-area" of this part should be ignored... Thanks!

It is possible, you just need to specify the "area" or "volume" when you are creating the parameter from the type editor inside the family. Heres an example, just change the length, height and depth (L, H and D) and your volume will change.
