can anyone tell me if it's possible for MEP2011 to make a parameter in the schedules to look at multiple parameters to create the output of one. what i'm trying to do is to make a parameter for all the mechanical equipment that would look at Voltage, Phase, and no. of poles to give me an output that looks like 480V-3P-3 for example. so far i can't figure it out, and i've been just making them 3 different columns. i just want to clean up the schedule appearance.

I don't know MEP very well but my guess would be no.  With rebar I was looking to do the same thing combining the bar size and the bend type, but each time I do it says that scheduled formulas have to consist of text, yes/no, and numbers.  So because of this issue I am inclined to say that you will have the same issue trying to combine your three parameters as well.

To test it out, on the tab where you add parameters to your schedule click "Calculated Value" and in the formula just type in "Phase" (not with "Winking and see if it works...then try the other two.

Can't concantenate

....If you don't use grid lines and add them in paper space... you could do these columns side by side with intervening "-" columns....
