I'm trying to fix an instance of revit that will move objects simply by selecting them.  If I click on an object, the screen will flash, new toolbars appear and the object I clicked on will move about 1" up on the screen.  You can reference the two jpegs for a visual of what I'm talking about.  My comments are in red.

Unchecking the press and drag button at the bottom right of the screen will sometimes fix the problem and unplugging the second monitor will sometimes fix the problem, but these two fixes are completly unrelated as one is a hardware fix and one is software.  Revit has been reset to default settings, but problems persist...

Please help before I have a large bald spot on the right side of my head!

You are moving elements - Uncheck Press & Drag - lower right corner of your Revit screen.....

press and drag is not the reason why this all hapens, i read in a post somewhere on this forum, i've forgotten where exactly, that you have to dock the options toolbar at the bottom of the screen instead of at the top of your screen. that solved the problem for me, and dried my tears. (with options toolbar i mean the bar wich appears when you add a wall, where you can fill in the offset distance etc.)

How do you move the options toolbar?

I have the same problem. This seems to hapen on my second monitor only when I use a dual screen setup.

Yes unchecking the "press & drag" box worked for me except the screen would still flash. Moving the option toolbar to the bottom fixed the whole thing. To move the toolbar just right click it after clicking a button such as the wall button.
