Hiroshi,
I wanted to post some of the multi light source 'families' I have created but for them to work properly they have to be groups .rvg not .rfa. Is it possible to make it so I can post these. Like any other families they save users alot of time since the work is done and they actually display correct lights and shadows when rendered.
As a side bar, would it be possible to somehow classify the family explorer by 'true revit' and ' imported non-intellegent' families. Its somewhat frustrating to DL 5 families only to find they are cad imports that aren't parametric in anyway.
Thanks to all for the tips and help getting on board with Revit.

we can work on allowing rvg file uploads but it might take a while...
Also, we can classify by true revit and imported but that would take a LOT of work. I would have to go in and change that classification for all 1600 families individually. I see what you're saying but I don't think the benefit is worth the struggle it would be.
Perhaps we could make that classification to all future uploads, would that be helpful?

I didn't realize the number of families posted when I wrote that, I can definity understand not updating all the existing. As a going forward process I think it would help out quite a bit. As for the rvg support, I didn't expect anything immediate. I'm just one of those pain in the butt people that likes to voice their opinion when I think it would be a benefit.
Thanks

hey I just thought of something. I could just change the file extention and in the description state 'change to a .rvg to use'
yes/no any thoughts? looks to me like a 2 sec change on our end would save you quite a few hours.

if that would work, that works for me... just be sure to put the directions in the description when you upload it.

Ok all, I finally got around to posting the afore mentioned family/group track light.
Take a look and let me know if anything needs tweaked.
