Use "Create" - "Wall" to make an in place family using "Solid Blend" - offset the top sketch from the bottom sketch.

Create a mass that gives you the surface you require, then use wall by face (providing your are using 8.1) This way you can still have layers to your wall.

mr. spot --

If I'm using Revit 2010, do I create a Mass In-place, or create one from the template?  Because I tried creating a mass on plan (just playing around with it) and it didn't work.  It came out as a flat object with no height.

Forgive me, I'm not very good with the mass-modeling.

So, I've managed to model a wall under COMPONENTS (HOME) and by MODELING IN PLACE.

Is there a way I can give this wall the same properties (like structural usage) as my other walls, and can I assign a Wall Type to it?

Thanks!

Mr. Spot gave you the options in his earlier post.  If you want full wall properties then use the mass to create a face then use wall by face using one of your wall types.... Then you can get rid of the mass or hide it someway so that you can modify later.
