Revit Architecture 2009

We have over 1000 2D Drafting views that have been saved out from various projects to an rvt file.  I want to print out all views and begin to organize them so that we have a detail library.  The problem is, if I print all the views on 8.5x11 sheets, I have no way of knowing what the name of each view is.  Is there a way to automatically label each view?

The only thing I can think of is creating a giant sheet so that each view has a title, and window plotting 1000 times.

Thanks!

Why don't you place all these views in one file then place tose on sheets, label and print from there.

Actually - don't kill another tree !  Once in the file, organized by category, with multiples placed on a sheets and titled, these views are easier to find, look at and import into a project.

At least that is what we have discovered.

I found a 2 step workaround. But you need Bluebeam software, although this might work for Adobe Acrobat as well.

I ended up plotting to pdf (we use bluebeam) and creating an individual pdf file for each view.  Revit will then name each plot according to it's view name - if not on a sheet.  Then, using Bluebeam PDF, I can batch plot these with a header or footer that shows the filename - which was the view name when it was in Revit.

Thanks WWHub for your input.
