I'm having problems with my room and area tags on smaller scale drawings.

As you can see in image 1 working with the default scale settings of 1/8"=1.0' my room and area tags fit within the boundaries of the room.

In image 2, I changed the scale to 1/16"=1.0'

Notice that the Room and area tags are too large for the rooms.

How do I change the tags' scale so that it fits my smaller scale room?

thanks,  love the site!

In Revit, all annotation items remain the same size as created regardless of view scale.  This is one of the great tools of Revit.  To fix your problem:

  1. Click on onr of your room tags and choose edit famil
  2. In the family editor, change the text size of the label that reads the room name.
  3. Save this family wth a new name
  4. Before closing the family, click load into project
  5. In this smaller scale plan view, window the view
  6. Filter your choices for just the room tags
  7. Now change those to your new tag

And your done.  Because tags are view specific, this will not affect your other views.
