Very new to Revit, so I need some help. When I place a drafting view on a sheet, it displays a title (which I want) but it also displays a scale (which I do not want) I just want it to say "vicinity map" but have no scale. I have duplicated the "viewport 1" and tried to change the properties, but can not find where to take off the scale. Thanks in advance.

You need to edit (or make a new family) the View Title family. You can edit the existing family so you can turn the scale label on and off with a parameter, or if you don't want to do that you can delete the scale label, save as a new family, then load the new family into the project. Once that is done you can go back into the viewport properties and tell it which family/type to use.
