I am trying to mitre an arched wall that was drawn "horizontally" on the face of a mass with a vertical (normal) wall. The regular wall was edited and cut out to match the radius of the arch, for a portico. the arch now fits into the cut-out in the wall but they butt up against each other with unsightly lines on the face of the wall and under the arch, much the same as two intersecting walls would with a regular butt join. I want to mitre the "horizontal" arched wall and the vertical wall to obtain a clean join. I have seen this done before but for the life of me I can get Revit to select the joint of the two walls so that I can mitre them.

Any ideas are welcome.
