This morning we found out that a RevitCity member, AllenBall, was found dead in his recliner at his home Friday.  Allen was a good friend to many of us in the chat room and was an active member of the RevitCity.com community.  I will be collecting donations from anyone wanting to support his family at the Visitation and Funerl Services.  If you would like have your name (can be screen name) on his card and/or a comment, please leave it here, I will be sure that every one makes the card.  Please keep the comment to one line something as follows:

Deepest Sympathies, Allen will be Missed

John Doe

Architect, City, State

We would like Allen's family to know that he had friends and family from all over the country (world?)

If you would like to donate something towards a floral arrangement please head over to http://revittotd.com/ and send a donation using the donate button menu on the right.  Please use a paypal account or credit card as an eCheck will take 7 days to process and costs $5.  Any donation amount is fine.  Please leave your name and/or screen name in the comment section of the donation so I can put your name on the card as well. Donations will be used to purchase a floral arrangement from a local floraist to the funeral home.  Left over proceeds will be donated to AllenBall's family.

If you're having issues finding the donate button on the revittotd site, just scroll down.  It will be on the right:

Donations and comments need to be in before TUESDAY morning, 11:00am EST

Edit: I just noticed that you can not change the comment when you use the donate page, so either send me an email to the address on the paypal account with your comment for the card or post it here and I will make sure it makes it on the card.

For more information please see the memorial page set up by Allen's family: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jordan-Allen-Ball-Memoiral/141886225857138

You can also see Allen's Obit here.

Also feel free to join us in the Chat room as we enjoy the memory of Allen's company!

Sleep well Allen: RIP

This has really upset many of us who have become friends with Allen over the last couple of years.  I will miss his humor and friendship and I know RevitCITY has lost a good friend and contributor.

I am one of the very lucky to work in Allen's office with him. He thought the world of everyone on Revit City and loved troubleshooting with you all. I would get mad at him when he would work on your questions and tell me to hold on a min and I sat right behind him. What a wonderful person and so sad that he left this world at 22. He will be missed by all!

I am really at a loss for words.  Even though I never met the Allen he was always someone I looked forward to chating with here on RC.

A bunch of us would always quote each other when one would say something funny or incriminating.  Then post it back in the chatroom days later when the quote is completely irrelivant and out of context but hysterically funny....well at least to us...the ones who knew the context of the quotes.

"AllenBall : anyone know of a revit model for a "fat boy door" its a door with a 3' door and a 1' door?"

"AllenBall : im just kidding i like u erl"

"AllenBall : i am fat, and god said its ok for me to be fat"

"AllenBall : shut up erl we all know that im fat and cant spell, so shut up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"AllenBall : its just the way i was born"

To explain a little context to the quotes.  We all were friends with Allen on Facebook and have seen pictures of him and we all know he is not fat...but some of us liked to poke fun at each other and somehow Allen was demmed the fat kid.  lol  HDD I believe went even as far to photoshop a picture of him making Allen appear fat.  If I could find it - Id post it here.

I never realized how much Id miss someone who Ive never met.............

RIP Allen!  You will be missed, d00d!

 STONES!
