hello,

After putting my sheet together I want to put the view numbers or detail numbers in a correct order. For sheets that's kind of easy with the use of the sheet schedule. but in the view list schedule there's no field that adds the detail number of the view on the sheet. So the only way to get this done is to go through all the views and redo the numbering manually.

I would like to have a field in the view list schedule and change it there.

Any thoughts are highly appriciated

Mark

You do know that view names can be different than names on the sheet.  For instance the View name in the browser might be Room xyz elevation a and on the sheet it might just be ELEVATION and numbered 1?

yes, I do know about the title on sheet option. What i mean is the automatic detail numbering that Revit attaches to each view on the sheet. After making the layout the numbering is sometimes not logic. ie starting in the upper left corner of the sheet with 1 going down to the lower right corner with the highest number.

Numbering on the sheet is strictly by when the view is placed.  It starts with 1 which you can change to A or a or 10 but it will always start with the lowest sequential number available.  Your choice in what order and where to place the views on the sheet.

...and you can always renumber them - just can't have two of the same number (or letter) anytime.
