Hi.I'm doing an exterior render now, using still Revit Arch. 2010.I made one with the same camera view some weeks ago(was just a little bit less complicated scene) and it took me not more than an hour and smth to render in sunlight.

The changes I made now include some added knick-knacks like three umbrellas and some fascias...also some new image textures assigned to quite a few of the objects, turned the lights on(there are 72 of them, but like a half are highly dimmed and theres the sunlight as well) + bumped up the reflectivity of the curtain walls to 30%.Could it be the reflectivity or maybe the artificial lighting that does this huge time extent?

It has been 2 hours and it\s only up to 17% and it had been crawling through the last hour making for only 2 percents...I actually just expanded my Virtual Memory, according to the instructions on Autodesk's site to 3GB,I thought that only could help + I reduced the display's resolution down to the lowest possible.(my machine is a notebook 1.6 Core2Duo 2Gb RAM 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon)

I hope u have any advice on that. Thanks

P.S. Thanks a lot for the guys that helped me out for the interior rendering. It really helped.

72 lights is quite a lot as well, I would make light groups and turn off the lights you are not using. Are the lights interior or exterior and are you using daylight portals?

Well 20 out of those 72 are interior ones illuminating one of the interiors, but as well as the exteriors all are dimmed quite a lot,u can check out the image (finally it took 15 hours) but sure there's also the daylight on (45 azimuth angled to 45).No I don't have daylight portals - arent they used only in interior scenes?
