I tried to submit a Support Request via the Subscription website, but it appears to be down.  My central file appears to be corrupted.

Error message:

"Data file in ****.rvt is corrupt and needs to be manually recovered.  Please contact Autodesk Support."

I tried to open the central file directly, with and without Audit selected.  Still gettting the error message.

I think the user in the remote office was saving to central when the network connection was lost.........  this is when I believe the cenral file got corrupted.

I need to get this issue resolved before Monday when the users start working on the model.

Does anyone have any suggestions...... or autodesk contacts...........

Since we only have 3 users that have impending changes to the project, this was my solution:

Open the local file with the most changes.

Save as a new Central file.

One by one, open the other local files and go thru all BORROWED worksets and copy the changes to the new Central file.

Recreate new local files for each user.

You are close to what we do.  We create a new central using the "best" local.  We then have each user create a new local, open their old local detached and transfer what they are missing from their last session.

However, you might also look at doing a project rollback to the last good save in the central. (that might fix this for everyone except the one that corrupted the central if he was the last to save.)   Again though, everyone would have to make new locals.

This happened to me recently and here was my solution after trying everything else.

Open a new project -> Go to restore backup -> Pick the backup file of the central model you are trying to recover -> Save As a new central model -> Open and save without worksets.

Try multiple backup times to get before and rid yourself of the corruption.

It's not perfect but I only lost several hours on the project vs. 3 days since my last detached central. It also beats waiting several days for Autodesk Support to fix it for you.
