I get a lot of use out of the thin, medium, wide, and other linestyles, but can someone explain what the green "Lines" are for? Is there a reason why Revit sets these up by default?

from Revit Help: ..."Model lines exist in 3D space and are visible in all views. NOTE: If you want to draw lines that exist only in the view that they are drawn, see Detail Lines." Smile

I meant what are the green detail lines for not model lines. They seem to plot too thin to be usefull.

Just another built in linestyle. Its up to you if you use it or dispose of it.

you can change the 'Lines' line type colour under manage tab > additional settings > line styles and then expand the + and go down to 'Lines'

This is a list of all my line styles and their properties. Changing the 'Lines' at the top which shows as green doesnt do anything. There is a default 'Lines' category half way down that is green that changes. If that doesnt work then unless you post your project it is difficult to determine the issue.
