Every time i go to detach the model from the central file and save it, it some how reverts itself back to a central file. Ive took myself off from all the worksets and made sure that ive relinqished myself before i go to detach but it still wont work !!!!what im i doing wrong, can anyone help with this annoying problem ?????

When you open a file in Revit - even detached, you still have to use the save - as function and check the "make this file a central" box..... and you need to give it a different name.

so is there a way of making a model with worksets activated into a standalone file by detaching it ?

Once you make a file workshared, it will alway be workshared.
