Hello,

I have created an extrusion which represents a wooden beam. I draw the sketch, which determines length and heigth. The thickness of the beam is the depth of extrusion.

The beauty of the array would be, that the length is variable, and the angles adjust automatically. Now I want to array this beam, so multiple beams with this shape are next to eachother. Here comes the problem, I can't copy into this direction? I can only copy in the directions of the sketch, height and length...?

Any other options? I've tried to create the beam as a line-based model, create a reporting-parameter to determine it's length, and tied the length of the beam to the reporting parameter, but once the reporting parameter changes, the beam length doesn't....

Argh? I'm running out of ideas...Anyone? Thnkx!

I'm not exactly sure what your objective is but this looks like a job for the 'Beam System' tool ?
