what irt is telling me is that " an insert in a design option cannot be hosted by an elemant in the main model--if you continue it will not be added to the design option set."

Hosted elements in a design option must have the host in the same option. You are working in a design option and trying to host an object on something in the main model. Can't do that.

sory, it is a screen shot and i have moniters, one has out look open and the other has revit so i guess it grabbed both screens. so by host i would need to have both the wall and the window placed in the the same design option. wha ti am trying to do is set 4 diferent design option show 4 different window arrangements, and i was selecting just the windows to add to the set. what your saying is that i cant just add the windows., it needs the hosted element as well. i haven't used design options for about 3 years and an now confused. i think i can figure it out now your help, thanks.
