Hi all, I created a customised dimension style by duplicating one of the system styles and altering the relevant items. How do I delete this new style I have created. It doesn't show up in the familes list? cadjockey

Do you want to delete the *New* file or add it? If you want to add it you must go to the imperial annotations files and look for the file usally it next to a corresponding file with the extension .001 or so on. And then unless you want to keep the original file I usually rename the new file a different name, and then keep the original file. In the family editor you must add the file in the add file browser....Like its all said before read the tutorials and do the samples....

Hi, I have created a new dimension style by opening the 'Type elements' box, clicking the duplicate button, altered the details, renamed the new style, clicked apply. This new style now is available in the type selector when I create a dimension. This is great however, I now would like to remove this new dimension style I created as an option. When doing this procedure for walls (also a systems family) the new custom wall type appears within the families list on the left pane. I am able to remove the new wall. I am trying to find this option for dimensions. cadjockey

if you are not using the new style in the drawings, then all you need to do is to purge your drawings of all unused items...
