Hi,

I see from help that a line pattern is stored in the project only.

But, does this mean that they are also stored in a family only.

Say I create a new window family and create a new line pattern displaying the mulltions. Would this pattern be accessable in the project that the family is loaded into? or only within the family itself?

Cheers.

I believe that this linetype becomes accessible in your project.  I believe this because I have loaded families--like chairs--into my projects that were modeled in revit using other languages... And now, I have linetypes such as "Strich Punkt Punkt,"   "Klapptur,"  and "Strich mit großem Abstand."

This irritates me.  I don't consider it helpful to now have duplicates of all my linetypes in foreign languages.  If I'm searching for a pattern to apply to a new line type--admittedly this doesn't happen often--it takes a lot longer to peruse my options.
