Hello,

We're building houses with bricks. I use render materials for this. Sometimes there is something we call a "rollaag" (don't know what's it called in English...) that means a row of bricks vertically, instead of horizontally. To create these "rollaag", I use wall sweeps, with a profile the size of a brick.

Is there a way that this sweep takes the material from the wall, but 90° rotated? Cause if I have to do it manually, each time a customer changes brick color, I have to create new materials by hand, for the "rollaag".

Any ideas? Thanks!

There is no way to do what you want but just assign the material to the sweep.  If you give that sweep material a name like "rollage", you can just change the material assignment to rollage in the project and it will change everywhere.

Hey WW, thanks for the thinking. This is the way i'm doing it now. Only disadvantage is you have to create a new vertical material, for each horizontal material you change. But okay, we can't exclude all mouseclicks can we? Smile

Is there a way that the material hatch (surface pattern) aligns with the render material? So if I use the surface pattern to align windows, the render looks good too? Or is this just tweakin with the used patterns?

Thanks!
