"The routing solution failed because there is no default fitting type specified or the fitting cannot be found in the project. Ensure the fitting is loaded in the project and try again." this never happened and now is. any ideas how to fix this? thanks.

I assume you're using MEP. Can you isolate where the phantom fitting is located in the project? Or the name of the family?

no i cant. i also get there error message " no auto-route found" i think these 2 messages are connected in some way but im not sure.

I use MEP 2011. If you select your Pipe (or duct) and then click on Edit Type in your properties dialog box, what fitting types are displayed for that pipe (or duct)

Im using 2011 mep as well. i took a look and although the pipe type says copper its showing pvc standard and pvc sched 40 dwv fittings.
