how do i keep a section marker from appearing in a view without turning off the visibility of all section markers in that view?

Right click it and select "Hide in Vew-->Element"

Yup, I have become tired of right clicking so now I just use the ribbon tools instead.
This works on pretty much any element.
Hide Element, Hide Category.
Override by Element, Override by Category.
In addition, section markers in particular have a 'Hide in View Coarser than < >" property.

Thanks, I really enjoy participating to both provide and retrieve information.
It really depends on what I am doing. Sometimes I get so busy drafting or making videos I don't have time.
Hopefully I can continue at this pace. 
The golf course hasn't seen near enough attention this summer : )
