We are working on an historic restoration project for the city. We need to document the many iterations the building has gone through in order to accurately depict the distinction between the original structure and later additions and modifications. In one instance,in the original structure, there was a wall opening for a door, which was later removed and filled in. We want to demolish this later alteration and replace the door. Currently, we are modeling the building as such: 1. Orginal structure with opening (EXISTING) 2. Modelling filled wall in opening, under a new phase (EXISTING + ADDITION) 3. Demolition of wall 4. New Construction of Door, under a new phase (NEW CONSTRUCTION) Is this the appropiate method of modeling the phases? PS- I am on REvit Arch 2009 Let me know if I am posting in the right area of the site.
