Hi, Can the term ‘Rough Width’ and ‘Rough height’ be changed in Revit?? I’m from the UK, and these terms are confusing, we would use the term ‘Structural Width’ or ‘Structural height’, to someone in the UK the term Rough means approximate. I’m setting up a new project template and am wondering what would be involved in changing this term to something my users would easily understand. Is this parameter ‘hard coded’ into Revit or can it be changed – would it involve changing all of the standard families? Cheers.

It is coded into the family category so your question needs to go directly to AutoDESK. The workaround is to modify every family and by-pass these parameters adding new ones and assigning them to the labels that were RO / RW etc.

you can change it in your schedules. add the parameter for height and width from revit into your schedule. then under the format tab you type in what you want it to say in the heading area. then in your schedule it will appear as ‘Structural Width’ or ‘Structural height’
