I trying to place tube steel "HSS" roof supports over a curved support beam (see elevation and section.bmps) to help support the roof deck. Do I have to place each one, adjust the height and rotation in the elevation each time? or is there a way to attach to the support beam and have it rotated flush automatically? there is about 60 of them, that is why I ask. I am using 2011 revit structure.

Don't know if this is relevant or not, but have you tried placing model lines where you need the outlookers, then placing beams by selecting the model line?
