Is there an easy way to create a template for a Keyed Note Legend and use from one project to the next. Also why can't I had a keyed note in the middle of a room. It does not give me the option when working in Revit 2011.

Key notes have to point to something. For floors / walls / ceilings, that has to be an edge. Pick the item you want to keynote somewhere then free the end of the leader and move it to where you want.

once you point your keynote to an item, you can turn the leader off under prop and move the keynote to anywhere you want to place the keynote symbol.
