Technically, it's about the "save as" button after you hit "roll back". After I hit "save as" and create a new file, the new local will ask me to sync when I close the new file. I never synced for safety. And normally I just copy back some lost objects from the backup file.

But I want to know where it will synch to if I hit the sync button.  The orginal central file? Or when I save as, I create a new detached new central, and I will sync to this new central? If it's former, it is so dangerous. Thanks.

pretty sure it is the original, if the new is detached then nothing heas been "checked" out of it.  so if no local has been made, then your existing local should go back to the central file it was created from.

Don't guess at this!  Read this topic in your HELP:  Rolling Back Workshared Projects

and this one: Saving a Specific Backup Version as a New File
