This is probably due to a conflict with the communications center. delete the file WSCommCntrData.xml found at c:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\Revit\%REVIT VERSION%\ENU\Components\Web Services

that did it, all better now. not sure what would have caused that file to go bad, other than last wednesday our building was hit by lighting and everything shutdown instantly. and that is when it started, it was a bad hit we lost power for 6 hours and elevators for 4 days and our office is on the 6th and top floor. thanks for the tip

Glad that worked out for you!! Not sure what causes it but we have had it happen on several machines for no apparent reason.

I've had trouble with this myself, AutoDesk Support told me to reopen in another administrator and start over. What a pain. I'm going to try this. Thanks alot, Brettgoodchild.
