Has anyone seen this before?  I have an "east" elevation, but the elevation tag is pointing "south" on the plan.  (See the attachment) Very interesting.

You named the view - Revit didn't!

Look a little closer.  In order to see the paper towel holder and toilets on the east wall, the elevation tag would have to point to the right.  Instead it points down (which would cut through one of the stalls and show the south wall)

This is not a Revit problem....it is user error.

  1. Click on that elevation and see what it is named in it's properties......The tag shown belongs to another view.
  2. Either that or you have dual elevations and one set his hidden in the plan view.  or click in  plan on the 9 elevation and show view... see what it is.  It will not be the one marked as 9 on this sheet.

So I have changed some things in this view (ie numbers), but the elevation tag is still there.  You can see from this image that the #3 south elevation is actually an east elevation.  When I click on it, the blue line showing the view plane faces east.  When I double click on the #3 south arrow in plan, it brings up an east facing elevation.

I have worked around the problem by deleting the elevation and remaking it.

It appears that someone has played around with your elevation callout family and has re-arranged the order of the callout directions.  That is the only thing that will explain this.  You might look for an original or correct the one you have.
