Revit 2011.

Hello, I posted this question in the NewB section today to no avail so I'm moving it here.

I am wondering why changes in callout bubbles in parent views are not reflected in the dependent views.  For example,

1. a detail callout is placed in a parent (plan) view.

2. the callout bubble shows up in all subsequent dependent views

3. The callout bubble leaders are moved in the parent view

4. The dependent views do not reflect this change.

Is this a callout family setting that I am missing?

Thanks

Changes in the bubbles are view specific alterations, I don't think I would consider this a limitation necessarily as many times it is necessary to utilize independent control accross dependent views. This can be quite cumbersome in that placing elements within respect to the callouts/sections (such as text notes) as they may not have the same relationship in the other views if you have not correctly adjusted their placement. (overlapping elements is usually the result)

To minimize the effort required initial placement should occur within one of the dependent views, not the host/parent view.

Ideally the software should provide a function for propagating the extents of these elements, much like the prpagate extents for the 2d datum/grid alterations.
