Is Revit up to date on the National Cad Standards or is there going to be a plug in for that?

Revit is not a CAD program why would it care about national CAD standards?

There are national and even international standards for drafting. They are aplicable regardless of the software that produced the drawing. Those drafting standards are also mandatory in project contracts, and are often used to regulate disputes in court cases. But most important they should make everybody's work easier. We have come forward with some ISO / European / British / Japaneser standards for linetypes to help implementing the correct line representation in Revit.

Have a look on the following video demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rpst1vmldWI
