I'm just starting my first official Revit project and I need to make a schedule for a light gauge metal stud structure. I've read tutorials but I can't wrap my head around what I need to do to make what I want happen. I basically need a bill of materials that lists every stud, clip, fastener, etc.  The studs and clips are easy because I'm going to be physically placing them in the model so I understand how to add them to a schedule but how can I add extra information for fasteners without actually modelling them?

In my schedule I need to know how many of each screw or anchor I need so that the contractor can order them.  Is there a way to take my model for a light gauge clip for instance and say, "this clip has (2) - HILTI X-U powder actuated fasteners" That way in my schedule if i have 4 clips I can have another column for HILTI X-U fasteners that has a total of 8,2 for each clip.
