Hello, I'm suffering from a bet of cognitive flatulence this morning, and I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a text parameter, and I need to use it in a calculated value in a schedule. If the parameter is blank, I need the calculated value to be blank. If the parameter has any value in it, I need the calculated value to place an "X" in the schedule. Is this possible, and if so, what would the formula look like?

I can create a new Yes/No parameter if I absolutely have to, but that would be duplicating info, and I'd rather avoid that. If it helps, the text parameter is for the NEMA type of a cord connection, and the "X" in this particular schedule indicates if the piece of equipment has a cord connection or not.

Sorry... from the HELP - Conditional statements can contain numeric values, numeric parameter names, and Yes/No parameters  We have no formula operations for text except I believe =.

I may be mistaken here, but I believe you can...however I think it may only work when calling out a visibility parameter.

ex: if(Parameter 3, "X", " "Winking where Parameter 3 is a yes/no.

HAHA!!!!

I would disregard my last post!

I just reread the OP and basically confirmed what HUB just said...I'll write this off as being Friday and tired.
