I just got 2011 and had been working in it no longer than an hour before I got a black screen and a recovery message.  Then about 10 min later the whole thing crashed.  I'm assuming I don't have a compatible graphics card?  Any advice on an easy fix?

Thanks, Grace

Without any more information, I doubt that we can help.  Don't you think it would have been better if you included some very important information, like your machine specs, memory and video card?

Wow, thanks for your helpful reply.  I'm pretty computer illiterate and didn't know what kind of information to include for help.

I have a Pentium Dual Core CPU T4200 @ 2.00 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 32 bit operating system.  I'm not sure where to find the graphics card information.  It does say as part of the system information that No Pen or Touch is available for this Display.  Hope this is more helpful.

Thanks,

Grace

You have 4 GB ram but do you have the three gig switch set?  You can read about that on the AutoDESK site.  Revit needs the 3 gig switch set so that that memory is reserved for Revit.

here is info in the 3G switch
