I just got bumped from permitting for no NGVD on my elevations. So I am instructed to add "EL(+)14.80 NGVD" as a post script to my "0'-0" Level 1 Elevation Annotation. When I attempt to add text in I get the formulas must begin with = error and I can't find the post script option in the properties like for a dimension. I know I can litter this drawing copying a note to each level on each drawing, but surely there is a more efficient method. Thanks, Irving PS For now I am renaming the levels THIS STRATEGY KILLED ME ON PAGES WITH SCHEDULES

In Revit I would take a different approach to the problem. Why not create another level style and simply add the reguired text there? Then load this into your project and assign it to the levels you want. You could even add a parameter for the + elevation portion if this is something that changed by project or you could just create a new one for each project. Doing these modifications only takes a few seconds to do. I created one and have attached it (ver. 8.1) HTH Tom Post edited on 2005-10-10 13:49:00

I can't seem to figure out how to edit the NGVD level so it's a parameter that has a different value than the elevation.  I feel like this is much easier than I'm trying to make it.
