Hello! I hope that someone can help me! I was doing a project with REVIT 2010 for a couple weeks, and yesterday when I tryied to open REVIT, it only opened the initial Revit Frame, and then... nothing, the software didn't open! I have uninstalled and reinstaled REVIT, but without any success... Any ideas? Thanks a lot from Mexico

It sounds like you need to reset the ribbon. If you did not do a clean uninstall then this file would more than likely stay on the computer...there is a known issue with this causing crashing. To reset the ribbon simply delete the UIState.dat file...you can find that can be found here: Windows XP%USERPROFILE%Local SettingsApplication DataAutodeskRevitAutodesk Revit Architecture 2010 Windows Vista%LOCALAPPDATA%AutodeskRevitAutodesk Revit Architecture 2010 __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If that did not work, there is a known issue in 2010 having problems with the communications center. browse to the location below and delete the file WSCommCntrData.xml C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010\ENU\Components\WebServices HTH

Thanks a lot Brettgoodchild! I ended installing the Revit 2011, and the problem was fixed! Now I have another problem, if I activate the Project Browser and the Properties Toolbars, from the >View>User Interface menu, a blank screen appears, the only way of seeing the project is by unchecking the Project Browser and the Properties boxes. (See images) I tried by erasing the files you recomended, but it didn't work. Uninstalled the software and re-installing, and nothing. What would be the way of doing a "clean" uninstall? Help please, and thanks again!
