Is there a way to model platform framing without getting lines at the floor in the exterior elevations? In other words, just a clean stucco wall...as it would appear in real life. Thank you for your kind assistance in advance.

Some images will be great to clarify the issue but you always have the "Linework" tool to turn "Invisible" lines in every view you want...

As Ty said ... an image of what you are talking about would help. I am going to make a guess here.... Does you floor extend all the way to the outside face of the wall? If so, then you would have a floor line. If that is not modeled correctly, ( like does the floor stop short of the exterior skin?) then correct the model.

Typhoon and Hub you're both absolutely right, I should have provided an image. Sorry about the lack of images, but the model was completely changed to Western (Balloon Wall) framing for a presentation. Typhoon, as always, you're a Class 5 Typhoon, going at 155+ mph. I did not realize that "Invisibe Line" actually meant the ine disappears; I just assumed it would be a dashed line, as in invisible behind something else. Hub, you're absolutely correct in you're assumption; the edge fo the floor and the walls are in the same plane. I created a quick model making sure that the upper and lower walls along with the intermediate floor slab all had their exterior faces in the same plane. The floor, or top and bottm wall lines, showed up in an exterior elevation. Typhoon's solution works perfectly in 2D as well as 3D! Hub, I got the feeling you were going somewhere with this, as in, if the planes aligned the lines would disappear, or something of the sort? Is there another way of blending the walls and floor so that the dividing lines are automatically removed? Thank you both and my compliments on your in depth knowledge of the program. The "invisible line" hint is a fabulous tool!

Ah, the rub. There is no way of placing a "Sweep" on the edge of the floor slab so the exterior material matches the walls...or is there? My naive assumption would be that one has to offset the slab from the exterior walls let's say 1-inch as the thickness of stucco, then run a 1-inch stucco wall around the slab. Would this be the bast way of ultimately achieving platform framing that will appear in 2D and 3D correctly? Sorry to trouble and many thanks for the assistance.

"Ah, the rub. There is no way of placing a "Sweep" on the edge of the floor slab so the exterior material matches the walls...or is there? " - Yes there is, you have the "Slab edge" to the floors but in this case what WWhub told you is absolutely correct, there are several ways to correct this, if you create the slab like WW told you and you not "Attach" your wall to the floor the wall will cover the slab then in section view you can use the "Join" tool between your walls and slab to "Clean" them, BUT if you decide to attach your walls to the floor you have that issue but if you edit your wall (like you can see in the second image) and if you "Unlock" that stucco layer you can change the "Top Extension Distance" like you can see in third image....

INCREDIBLE!!! Works perfectly! Typhoon, you just got upgraded to a Class 6 Typhoon. I totally missed the point Hub was making. Thank you for clarifying Hib's recommendaiton. The more I learn about Revit, the more it is like actually building the actual building. One literally has to think in terms of: "How would I build this?" Thank you for your great assistance as always!
