This seems to be a new feature in 2011... If you select a field in properties with text to change, such as the top offset of a wall, yet move your cursor back over a view, the text field selection is dropped.

This has led to a lot of frustration for me, because I usually delete the contents of a field prior to giving it new properties, and so when I mouse over a view after selecting the properties box, I delete the actual object I'm selecting, instead of the value in the box I had selected a fraction of a second before.

It took me a long time to even figure out which old habit was being disruptive.  My problem is that to work fast, I often have my cursor hovering over the next object on my mental to-do list while my other hand is typing out a number.  It is inefficient to have to leave my cursor over a text field for the duration of typing in that field.  When I want back in a view, I'm HAPPY to just double click it to interact.

Has this bothered anyone else?  Is there a setting to turn this off?  I hope I've been clear in describing my grievance..

I noticed this to VERRYYYY ANOYING.

By the way it's the same in A-CAD2011.

When annybody knows how to turn this of please tell, REALY FRUSTARATING!!!

Luckilly I never use the del, I just click (move my mouse away) and start typing.

This way I don't end up deleting the selection.

Maybe another way to work alround is enlarging the properties menu so the pointer won't get "outside" the menu.
