Now that ArchiCAD 14 has the ability to assign their slabs into floor and ceiling categories, the ceiling elements get exported to IFC under the IfcCovering class, which is correct. When opening the same .ifc file in Revit Architecture 2011, the ceiling slab is categorized as a Generic Model, not Ceiling. According to the Revit Import IFC Options, it clearly shows the IfcCovering to be imported into the Ceiling category, which is not working. I have an IFC viewer that confirms the ceiling slab is an IfcCovering so the broken link is occuring in the Revit importing. Any suggestions? If I should report this to Autodesk, can someone tell me who or where? I know Generic Model elements can change categories but when I change it to the Ceiling Category, I still don't have the ability to change it to another ceiling type. The best thing I can do is copy the extrusion outline and paste it into a new ceiling form. Thanks for your help. ksymons
