I recently imported a duct system from autocad into revit. The 3D ductwork imported into revit easily in a block format. However, I am now trying to prepare this import for printing and I really need to find a way to reduce the detail of the imported duct block. For example, file number 1 below shows the amount of detail that revit is forcing me to print with. I would like to reduce the clutter inside the duct and have it look more like file number 2. Essentially, I would like to print the 3D block in 2D. Does anyone know how I could go about this? A Revit fix is preferable, however a CAD fix will work if needed. Thanks!

also, you may be able to use the linework tool and turn the lines to invisble.
