We use a lot of this type of roof in California. I will explain how I would create the roof in your attachment. 1. Create the gable end walls first. If a large project do all the the gable end walls that form the main roof. 2. Then create the main roof using footprint method, and setting slope by the eave walls, with whatever overhang you want. 3. Then create the shed end hips as separate roofs, using no overhang at the gable end, and slope and overhang at the outside wall. 4. Once created you will find gaps and overlaps, edit the roofs so they fit together. Voila

never heard of a thai style roof in australia - we call them 'dutch gables'. language is funny. as part of doing this, we'd also join geometry, so if you use a second viewport for roof lines, over plans, things look right. oh yes, we tend to make the extra bit of roof in a smaller piece and line up its ridge with main roof. something we find extra useful is to use openings on many rooves to cut away bits from an otherwise 'standard' roof.
