i would like to attache a carved surpace on to a circular another shape. i have attached the concern file and the reference is in autocad format. the base of the column is having two profiles which has to be extruded along with the shape of the base. So please clarify and it would be greatful for me. Thankyou

You create a series of reference planes to segment around the curve then set them as the work plan and extrude voids of the appropriate shape into the base of the column in order to achieve the carved recess.
