I've got a Nested Revit Family that I created using the Structural Framing Beams Template. I created a void carton and nested it into the beam family. I only want the void carton to show in medium or fine levels of detail as plan views are in coarse detail and I don't want the line work from the void cartons showing up in plan views. I only want the void carton showing up in 3D or section views to speed up details and to facilitate interference checking in NavisWorks. If I set the visibility options of the void carton to be hidden in coarse views in the family and load it into the project, it doesn't show up at all. It's seems that Revit doens't allow you to control the visibility of single elements in a multi element family. If anyone has any workarounds for this or has experienced the same problem, I would really appreciate some help. Thanks

By the way, I am using Revit Structure 2010. I just installed 2011 and the problem is the same.
