All Revit software I have installed crashes when I want to create/change a materials Render Appearance.

In the ArchVision log I found the following error message:

"BEGIN 5872 Mon Jun 07 19:44:36 2010 "RPC API" The RPC API is contacting the RPC ACM. 

LOG 5872 Mon Jun 07 19:44:36 2010 "RPC API" revoke licenses 

WARNING 5872 Mon Jun 07 19:44:37 2010 "RPC Content Client" Unable to connect to the ArchVision Content Manager at the following address:127.0.0.1:14931Make sure that your RPC Content Configuration contains the correct address for your ArchVision Content Manager.You may need to check with your office administratorto obtain the correct information, or you can use the Scanfeature to locate the ArchVision Content Manager.

It seems that the ArchVision Content client cannot contact the manager, which makes the program crash.

Haven't been able to find a solution so far.

Hi Typhoon,

This doesn't seem to be the solution to my problem. All the settings are correct. The same problem occurs in all Revit Arch, Structure and MEP.

Did you talk to Archvision or Autodesk about that?

I will contact Autodesk and/or ArchVision.

The thing is that I have been working fine with 2011 until now and thought it might be a minor problem.
