Hi, I need to calculate the window area in a schedule based on window length and width parameters but I'm stuffed if I can figure out how to type it up in the formulas. I would have though under calculated value something along the lines of Opening Height * Opening Width would be correct but apparently not. All assistance greatly appreciated Cheers B

Sounds right to me....Is you result Type an Area? - Has to be.

Formulas in Revit are name and case sensative. Width * Height would work as that is what the parameter names are unless you've added your own custom parameters. Define the calculated value to be an "area" as WWHub says. See the help file on formulas.
