i have a wall that slopes upwards and angles also in plan view and i want to create an elevation view which sits parallel to these angles. is there any way to do this

You need to create a section that is rotated to match those angles.

i can seem to rotate a section to view what i want parrallel. see attatched image. is there any way to do this.

gordi,

 

Look at the attached image.  This was done for someone that wanted a view normal to a sloping roof but the same applies to what you want.

 

Simply

  1. ut a section that looks at your wall,
  2. then in a perpindicular view,  select your section
  3. pick rotat, and move the rotation center to any point along the face of your wall
  4. and rotate to another point along the wallface.
Now your section is parallel to the wall.
