Please see attached image, On the left you can see the sketches, and on the right the result in 3D-view. In the upper case, I'd like to know why the landing zone is gone? I've noticed that it dissapears if you put a line in a corner, but as that's not the case here, I don't see why it wouldn't wok? In the lower pictures, I just tried to remove the upper steps to see if they were the reason for the error, and while it seems as if we get a landing zone, another VERY weird problem emerge from nowhere. This little slash is a mysterium for me, I don't know what you guys have to say?

Try to "Split" the inner boundary in that zone, intersection of the riser and boundary... inner left and right...

Now this is odd, trying to split the boundary exactly where it meets the 4 risers will give me the "No more than 2 boundaries" error message. strange.

It can't be just me with these problems? I've now met simillar problems with some other stairs, one L, one [ and one pair of C shaped stairs. Edit: Added a picture of two of the new ones. The thing is, these stairs are made between Level 1 (-200 offset) to Level 1 (2800 or smth offset) I have stairs working with this offset, for example straight ones and U-shaped ones. Also L-shaped ending in the air. The left one is a new problem which is that when the Base offset is lowered, the stair is lowered, but the part of the stair that should be going down below the level is just dissapearing?! It should follow down through the level 1 plane. The right one is a L-shaped stair, with the problem also occuring when lowered to -200 offset (one riser height). I don't know where the curse that leaning line that ruins my stair comes from, but it needs to be gone! haha.

You are doing something wrong with the parameters of the stair... check the type properties "minimun Tread Depth and Maximum Riser Height"...

Ok. I guess it was easily fixed by the fact that I got to know that we didn't actually need those stairs. :p Now I'm gonna have to break my head at the upcoming wooden-stairs. Btw what version are you using? And how do you get the small properties panel to lie on the left hand side all the time? Cheers

Ok, I guess 2011 is the answer to both of those questions? I'm using 2010 FYI Now I've encountered another problem with my stairs. I'm trying to do Steel stairs, where I want certain profiles for the steps and the stringers. If you see the attached image, I've added a nosing profile which is what i want, but I also want one on the back, which I don't know why the Revit guys havn't added the option. So anyone got a tip on how i should be able to get the back of the treads right? The stringers I also wanna make in a similar way, and is it possible to change stringer profiles? Or will I have to make some kind of railing with special profiles etc?

"Ok, I guess 2011 is the answer to both of those questions? I'm using 2010 FYI " - FYI you can do it in 2010 too.... "If you see the attached image, I've added a nosing profile which is what i want, but I also want one on the back, which I don't know why the Revit guys havn't added the option." -Wish list... "So anyone got a tip on how i should be able to get the back of the treads right?" - You can create that with In-Place OR create a "Baluster Post" family like you can see in my image.... ohhh and you can create that in 2010 too.... "The stringers I also wanna make in a similar way, and is it possible to change stringer profiles?" - No, same method above...

For you folks that don't know, the r-word is NOT REVIT ! And beyond that, the use of the term here really has no relationship to the objectionable use referred to on that site. There is no PC problem with it's use here although the word retard would be incorrect here. The term retard is defined as "to slow or delay the progress of something". It is used correctly as an engineering term in engine ignitions when talking about timing.
