Hi guys, I've been trying to render this image at the office but it's driving me crazy. The client wants it printed A1 size. I'm trying to render with the "print" option on and "300dpi", which is not even enough but my computer either freezes or shows me this RUNTIME ERROR message during the rendering and doesn't finish it. (images attached) The only way I managed to render it was slicing it up in 6 parts and render each one at a time to put them together later on in photoshop. But even this way I had to turn off all my planting otherwise it wouldn't work either. Now I have to render small areas with the planting and put it there on photoshop. SUCH A PAIN!!!! I'm afraid we won't be able to do this bigger 3D images anymore in the office... The file is 23mb big and my computer hardware is: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93Ghz RAM 3.5gb Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 6600 LE 256mb Windows XP Professional SP3 Revit Architecture 2011 Everything 32bits! Can you guys please give me a help? Anything would be much appreciated! Cheers.

also try to take away some shine from materials... or take it all away. Reflectivity can increase time, resources and your patience on the struggle with the render

If you work in VISTA 64 with 8GB of RAM you don't have that kind of problems.... I render files with 120 / 140MB and no problems at all

It just doesn't render, even 150dpi or screen. And I don't know the size of the rendered file. I meant the revit file itself is 23mb. I'll try the shine as well. I was thinking of installing windows 7 64bits, it should help, right? Thanks.

"I was thinking of installing windows 7 64bits, it should help, right?" - Right BUT you should increase your RAM too...

if you are not running 64-bit software and 64-bit operating system this will be standard work flow for large files.

Actual file size is not your problem but it is your components. I amagine that hedge is hogging a lot of memory and that many tress can also cause problems. Some vehicles also use lots of memory and finally, do you have objects inside those houses that also have to be dealt with?

Just a question did you take that image from outside the library? it has happened to me that I use an image from aout the library then accidentally move that image to another file folder so when I m going to render it appears that warning.

That missing image was supposed to come with some tree or hedge, but it didn't. Every time I render them I get that message. I reckon its not a problem since they look all right after rendering. Theres absolutely nothing inside the buildings. They are empty! And yes, those hedges are eating lots of memory. I even replaced them by normal sweeps with hedge material. Thanks again, guys.

mmm try to put the leaves on photoshop, for the small bushes try puting a texture of leaves, with an opacity on it. Maybe that help decrease time consuming. but for that big nasty render, try 72 dpi. They will not note it xD check this too http://www.cg-blog.com/index.php/2008/03/18/big-rendering-settings.htm
