My firm has developed a plug-in to help us facilitate the slicing of models for coordination and scheduling. We're now making it available for free to the general public. You can find more information and download it here http://modelslicer.dpr.com It works for Revit 2009/2010. We are currently developing the 2011 release (which should bring with it some performance improvements).
